I did it!
I ran my 1st half- marathon today! 13.1 miles!!!
This year started off wrong. I made choices that I'm not proud of, and ended up hurting the love of my life. But because of that, I made a positive decision. I decided to do it harder; to fight with all my might to break through all the guilt, walls, and other obstacles. I decided to do it better: to give it my all and make better choices that I do make from here on out. I decided to do it faster: to react swiftly and not wait until it's almost too late. I decided to do it stronger: that I will endure and make the sacrifices necessary.
Hence, why this blog is entitled "Do It Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger".
I've never really been a runner. I did it back in Jr. High running Cross Country, but after that I hated it to be
honest. But I made a decision to do it. This was an opportunity to do it harder, better, faster, stronger. For about 5 months I trained. I can remember going out on 3 mile runs with my group, and slowly increasing it. I went through the struggle of running during the week on my lunch breaks just to get my miles in. I even got injured in a few places, but I still kept on going. This wasn't only training my body, but also mental training to block out any negativity; any discouragement or thoughts that would hinder me.
Call it an atonement for the things that I've done. Today, I know I can do it cause I have! This was part of my re-invention. I proved that today! Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way!

I'm SUPER proud of you!
