Disney and Pixar have just released their latest creation. In my opinion, this is one of the most creative and engaging stories of Disney/Pixar to date. Among these collaborations are my favorites: Finding Nemo and Toy Story. But when those 3 are ranked, I will have to put it in this order: Up, Finding Nemo, and the Toy Story series.
Up tells the tale of Carl Fredrickson; a curious boy who longs to go on adventures like his childhood hero. There are some events that happen in his life, and as he gets older, he tries to fulfill a dream of going to the fabled Paradise Falls!
Up is a movie that has a serious and more adult story but it is presented in a way that all audiences will enjoy and appreciate. There are the comic relief moments that will have you busting up and then there will be those moments that you honestly weren't expecting. If anyone has ruined this movie for you by telling you what happens, be mad at them. If you haven't had any spoilers, you will truly enjoy this movie.
I give it 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!!!
And for the record, this is one of those movies I would definitely watch again! Can't wait for it to come to DVD/Blu-Ray!
Additionally, Mark and I were discussing the movie over coffee. We continued to talk about it on my phone call home and agreed that there are many lessons that this movie conveys. It's very rare that Hollywood movies do this anymore. We both agree that this movie has made us take our lives in to perspective and it applies to our own situations. I will keep my promises; promise to unconditionally stick by you through our adventure, remain faithful, and to cherish every moment!
